This workshop series is particularly useful to pre-tenure faculty and to those who are applying for extramural research training grants. Apply by January 19th. with this form.
Using the curriculum created by CIMER: the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research, participants will actively engage in discussions of topics including the following, which have been identified by research mentors:
- Establishing Expectations
- Maintaining Effective Communication
- Assessing Understanding
- Fostering Independence
- Promoting Professional Development
- Addressing Diversity
- Dealing with Ethics
Each two hour session will be facilitated by Drs. Hutnik and Levine and take place from 10:00 am to 12:00pm on the following dates by Zoom:
- February 11
- February 25
- March 11
- March 25
- April 8
- April 22
Participants must commit to all six sessions and space is limited to 20 people.
The application form will ask for your name, basic contact information, and a brief paragraph about what you hope to gain from attending this series.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and be invited to a celebration.
Please complete the application by January 19th so we may notify you by January 28th.
