This workshop series is particularly useful to pre-tenure faculty and to those who are applying for extramural research training grants. Apply by January 19th. with this form

Using the curriculum created by CIMER: the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research, participants will actively engage in discussions of topics including the following, which have been identified by research mentors:

  • Establishing Expectations
  • Maintaining Effective Communication
  • Assessing Understanding
  • Fostering Independence
  • Promoting Professional Development
  • Addressing Diversity
  • Dealing with Ethics

Each two hour session will be facilitated by Drs. Hutnik and Levine and take place from 10:00 am to 12:00pm on the following dates by Zoom:

  • February 11
  • February 25
  • March 11
  • March 25
  • April 8
  • April 22

Participants must commit to all six sessions and space is limited to 20 people. 

The application form will ask for your name, basic contact information, and a brief paragraph about what you hope to gain from attending this series. 

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and be invited to a celebration.

Please complete the application by January 19th so we may notify you by January 28th
