For the 2024-2025 Faculty Recruitment Cycle, we seek to train at least 20 faculty who will be ambassadors during the final campus interview of propspective new colleagues. This year, while we strive to keep the meeting during the final interview, we will do a trial of uncoupling some of them and hosting them over zoom. This will permit better predictive scheduling by the recruiting unit based on ambassador schedules. 

Criteria for ambassadors are a track record of commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity at Lehigh, at fostering "A Lehigh for Everyone" and who are aware and/or avail themselves of the professional development opportunities to grow our collective readiness for supporting new scholars from under represented groups. 


You will receive training and support. Last year over 180 faculty candidates came to campus, and this year we expect at least 140. Play a critical role in how each of them experiences Lehigh during this pivotal recruitment moment. Interviewees are not evaluated in this 30-min discussion which is designed to give plenty of time for the finalists to ask us anything and get to what's really important for them.  This meeting most typically focuses on aspects of the resources and infrastructure which support inclusive excellence.
